If you don't have a signed and current prescription then you would need to have an appointment with an eye doctor before getting new glasses. We are always happy to schedule you an eye exam with one of our optometrists.
If you do have a valid eyeglass prescription then you do not need an appointment to pick out your glasses. Please bring a copy of that prescription to our office and any relevant insurance information.
Do I need an appointment to pick up my glasses?

We are always available to help but there are certain times when the office is busy and we have to split our attention between multiple patients and customers.
Can I get my eyeglasses or contact lens prescription from a different doctor filled at your office?
Yes! With a valid prescription from another optometrist or ophthalmologist we can make your glasses. We guarantee that we will make glasses to the specification of your prescribing doctor. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee your satisfaction with those glasses in the same way that we can if you have glasses made from one of our doctor's prescriptions.
This is especially an issue with patients with a bifocal or reading prescription from an outside doctor.
We are obligated to follow their prescription, so make sure your doctor knows exactly what you want to use your glasses for so that he can write the correct prescription for your situation!

What If My Glasses Aren't Working For Me?
If the glasses you just got from us aren't working for you like we said they would, we will first double check that the glasses were made correctly and that they are fitting you correctly. If there is a problem with how the lenses were made we will remake them at no charge. If they are still not working well or if there may be an issue with your prescription then we can consult our eye doctor about your case and see about scheduling a free follow up eye appointment to recheck your vision. If you did not get your glasses prescription from us then we may ask you to consult your prescribing doctor about your prescription. When the exam is conducted by one of our eye doctors we can let our patients know exactly what to expect from a pair of glasses and recommend the right lenses with the right options for you. We can also remake those glasses or have the optometrist make adjustments to your prescription if the glasses do not accomplish what we said they would for you. Our opticians are very upfront and straightforward about explaining what you are getting with different features.
We are happy to explain which options are important or not for you based on your lifestyle and how you want to use your glasses.

Do Your Frames Have a Warranty?
Most of our frames have a one year one time warranty for standard use. Some of our more durable frames, including Nike and Flexon, have a two year one time warranty. If your frame breaks within this time period there will be a $25 warranty fee to have your broken frame replaced with a new frame.
This is a manufacturer's warranty. Our ability to replace your frame under warranty is dependent on the manufacturer accepting the frame back from us. Almost all of the damage that could occur to your glasses while they are on your face during standard wear will be covered under the warranty. Bite marks from a child or animal or severe scratches (such as would result from being run over by a car) will void the warranty. Glue or other modifications to the frame will also void the warranty. If your frame is broken please come to us first so that we can try to repair or replace your frame, or advise you on what to do.
We do also sell some discontinued frames that do not have a warranty because replacements to these frames are not available. We sell these frames at a large discount and are careful to let you know that they are not under warranty.
